NHTSA identifies two recalls for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. The Air Bag campaign addresses a front passenger air bag ground connection that may not be mounted properly, potentially causing an inadvertent deployment, passenger injury, or a crash. The Electrical System Software campaign addresses eCall communication that may send emergency responders to the wrong vehicle location after a crash. These concerns affect occupant protection and emergency response, so delaying a VIN check is an unnecessary risk.
