5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies two safety concerns affecting the 2018 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. The front passenger air bag may have an improperly sewn seam that could tear during deployment, reducing performance and increasing injury risk. The Emergency Call eCall communication module may also fail to send the vehicle’s correct location after a crash, potentially directing emergency responders to the wrong place. Waiting leaves these concerns unresolved. Mercedes-Benz of Lynnfield can check the VIN and confirm which remedy applies. If an open recall is found, the manufacturer’s specified repair is completed at no charge through an authorized dealer, providing a reassuring path forward.
Mercedes-Benz of Lynnfield provides recall service for drivers in Lynnfield, Peabody, Salem, Saugus, Wakefield, and nearby Massachusetts communities. Our factory-trained technicians follow Mercedes-Benz procedures, use manufacturer diagnostic tools, and install OEM parts when the recall remedy calls for replacement. That matters for safety-related work because the remedy is defined by the manufacturer rather than by an independent shop. The applicable recall repair is performed at no charge to the owner. If additional vehicle needs arise, ask our team about service financing so you can get service now and pay later while keeping your vehicle cared for.
Begin by locating your vehicle identification number and contacting Mercedes-Benz of Lynnfield.
